Our lives are not limited to a single shade or hue. Life is a dazzling spectrum of colours, each shade adding its own unique beauty and meaning. Take a moment to appreciate how this vibrant diversity enriches our shared journey to make extraordinary memories.

Autistic Pride Day 2025 is observed and celebrated globally on 18 June to promote awareness that autism is a difference, not a disease. The day encourages pride in autism and advocates for kindness, empathy, and this year, the focus is on equal access to quality education for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The rainbow infinity symbol represents diversity and limitless potential within the autistic community.
The symbology represents wholeness, completeness, and celebrates diversity.

The original Pride flag, created in 1978 by Gilbert Baker, features six colours symbolising life (red), healing (orange), sunlight (yellow), nature (green), harmony (indigo), and spirit (violet). Black and brown were incorporated in 1999 (people of colour), with pink, baby blue and white (transgender in the LGBTQIA+ community). In 2021, Valentino Vecchietti introduced the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag, a purple circle on a yellow background within a triangle to support all marginalised communities and celebrate diversity.

Art inspiration;
🎨 Create some abstract art with a rainbow painting. You may wish to incorporate pink, baby blue, white, brown and black also?
🎨 Paint a portrait of yourself with rainbow colours, use washes or bold pigments, your choice…
🎨 Create a silhouette of a meaningful shape, a heart, a peace sign, an animal, a tree, use clean lines or highlight them afterwards once you’ve finished colouring them to make it pop.
🎨 Create a collage using pride colours and pictures or photographs to represent diversity and unity.
🎨 Create a heartbeat using rainbow effect colours, capturing the essence of love and life.
🎨 Select buttons or similar coloured objects and create a rainbow, a smile or a peace symbol.
🎨 Perhaps you’d like to design an outfit to wear at Pride, be bold and share!
