A great week of inspirational art this week. I purposely left the prompts open, as it was intended to be about the individual and their journey; I don't hold the script for that. It certainly lived up to be a week of reflection.

Mainly white background with two different styles of art. Top right is a painting of three baby animals sheltering in the forest. Bottom two are made the ToonMe app. They are snippets of the reels showing how support has enabled them to grow.
Growth interpreted by two of our group creatives

Matt - created 'Never Alone' - A fox and a squirrel offer kindness and compassion to a lost kitten in a forest clearing. He likens this to the fragile nature of mental health in humans and the need to be seen and heard by others. Acrylic, water paints, and pencil were used on paper to create this.

Phil - Shared his growth mental health journey by using photos, generating images and adding captions about his support team and friends where he lives. They are instrumental in his journey and he has a lot of fun along the way by the sounds of it. Created by Phil using the ToonMe app.

Mainly white background top right is mainly wording outlining growth and fixed mindsets in different coloured pens. Bottom left is a blue background with a yellow sunflower, in the centre is a clenched fist punching though, flesh tones. Bottom right white background, the stages of growth of a plant from seed to seedling. Lettering multicoloured Plant Growth
Growth interpreted by three of our creatives

Noor - Very colourful writing affirming growth and fixed mindsets, and brain growth. Gel ink pens and coloured pencils on paper.

Barbara - # Welfare not Warfare She was telling us she sat with her fist poised in the mirror to paint this to get the realism behind it and the skin tones. A sunflower with a fist raised in solidarity in the centre. A watercolour painting, The sunflower is on a deep blue background.

After I had a chat, this is how Barbara's piece came out this week. Remember if you have any queries about the topic each week, just ask. I'm happy to talk through them with you. This is your artwork and has to reflect you.

Donna - Seed sprouting showing the stages of growth, becoming a seedling and then on to become a larger plant. Vibrant felt tips on paper.

I hope you enjoy browsing the gallery this week, which relates to the growth topic. Remember, you're always more than welcome to come along and join us on Wednesday evening for some creative art downtime. There's no pressure to finish a piece; you are welcome to relax in our chilled space.
