Reflecting inward helps us explore feelings, strengths, and weaknesses, offering a new perspective on who we are. This self-awareness deepens our connection with ourselves and the world around us.

Everything vibrates at its own frequency - plants, animals, minerals. As we move through life’s phases, we’re called to look within. We each carry light and dark: the light gives us courage to face storms, while the shadow reveals what we must confront. Both are necessary.

A walk in nature or sitting by an open window, simply listening and observing, can open the door to connection. To reflect deeply, we must step away from distraction, silence devices, turn off media, and create a quiet space.

Looking inward and reaching outward, to nature, to symbols, to our inner light and shadow, reminds us that life is a dialogue. Each phase invites reflection, and each connection deepens understanding. When we pause and listen, we uncover the guidance already around us, helping us live with greater balance and clarity.

Art inspiration;

🎨 Maybe you know your animal or plant spirit, perhaps not. Capture the symbolism and beauty of an animal or plant you’re drawn to

🎨 Spend time collecting images or cuttings of your chosen plants and or animals in a folder or board to work with and create a collage

🎨 Create a hybrid animal/plant or a mix of the two in a fantasy piece to embody a combined force of nature, displaying your essence

🎨 Use symbols, create something meaningful to you, perhaps with earth tones, natural hues, and bright accents, an abstract, zentangle, mandala, or piece that engages both yin and yang

🎨 Try a self-portrait with a twist: divide your paper in half vertically, on one side draw half of your face, and then on the opposing side draw your spirit animal or plant.

I look forward to sharing time and seeing your ideas come together. Which animal or plant do you most resonate with? It will be different for each of us, and that's ok.

It will be a great evening of creativity! See you all soon...
