Cinema is a powerful storytelling medium that combines narrative, music, visuals and performance to create immersive experiences.
Everyday actions become mythic, and films raise moral questions while interpreting historical events. In theatres, viewers escape daily life, engaging emotionally in the darkness as filmmakers use montage, lighting and sound to create vivid worlds.

Leaving the theatre can feel disorientating, as films linger in memory and blend with personal experiences. Home viewing offers similar immersion, with comfort and shared moments enhancing the experience.

Art inspiration;
🎨Draw your favourite film character/actor from a movie you enjoyed
🎨Compose a storyboard from a movie/film you have watched with the characters and the set, showing your favourite scene
🎨Design a film character in a genre of your choice, and add scenery
🎨Think of your favourite movie/film and paint/draw the emotions you experienced either during or the lasting imprint of that movie
🎨Think about the costumes you see in movies. Perhaps you’d like to design and draw a new outfit for your favourite film characters?
🎨There are many different genres of films, from short to educational. Please feel free to draw something from your favourite. This could be an animal, a place of interest or something else …
I look forward to sharing time and seeing your ideas come together. It will be a great evening of creativity! See you all soon, Wednesday evening, 7:30 pm UK time.

I loved taking part in this last night.
I haven't seen the film for ages but I kept reimagining it last night
Hearing the voices and songs from Pulp Fiction
Was awesome
And I've not done any art for ages too
