Another great week in art, everyone contributed a different angle with their stories, some funny tales and jokes, others offering a glimpse into what their life looks like, and some more serious.

I love to see how an open-ended topic travels in a group of people, the process, then the final product and hearing about the journey. Enjoy our artwork this week.

Four different artists, different media used illustrating their own stories on a light grey gradient background
Four of our creatives with their stories illustrated!

Meagan - used some bright coloured pens that popped this artwork visually out from her book.

Barbara - first artwork. This story was based on a comical short story about a welly-full of porridge, shown here with it balanced on her head! Watercolour paint was used.

Phil - used an app to create a colourful comic-style picture featuring himself and his support team. It shows some of his exploits. What great crew he has supporting him, I think you'll agree!

Noor - a beautiful butterfly, is visiting flowers in this garden. Lovely colours used here, watercolour pencils.

Sarah - writes, "Meet 'Squizzle', my emotional support animal. I spend time chatting with them and gaining perspective. Today, I needed 'Squizzle' life gets tough, especially if words are difficult to find to be understood." Graphite drawing, watercolour painting.

Barbara - second artwork. 'She Smells Seashells on the Seashore', a lot of memories with this piece of artwork! Barbara explained how, when she was a child, she went to the beach and collected shells, a crab carcass being one, except it wasn't empty, and it developed a distinct odour! A lot of laughter came about, and the nursery rhyme 'She sells seashells got altered!'

Matt - Writes, "meet Grace, a Watcher; she unveils the silent wisdom of an ancient celestial being. A mystery, divine messenger, and familiar presence. Met in a daydream. Watercolour mixed with acrylic, sketched in graphite.

A lot of different styles and stories, enjoy our gallery this week.
