After a short break for a really auspicious event, the All4inclusion Awards 2025, which were amazing, the art blog is back, and I'm able to bring you the amazing artwork from our fantastic creatives! The topic, inspired by shared experiences and emotions with music and song. Many have grown up listening to and/or playing instruments. Browse the gallery, there are memories within the drawings and attachments that mean something to each who has created them.

Donna - Explained that she loves listening to many different types of music, but she decided on one artist in particular, and that was Harry Styles. Her mum, Val, carefully outlined the shape. You did an amazing job with this! Donna chose the colours and carefully blocked in with shading using felt-tip pens. The orange shirt really makes him stand out.
Noor - Drew her favourite Bollywood actress/singer, Shreya Ghoshal. You can see her beautiful hair and make-up. Noor shared that the performer makes her happy when she feels sad. And she smiles more when she is happy. Fantastic! She used Sharpie pens

Phil - Spent a long time before and also in the art session in apps he uses, Toon Me and Star by Face, working to create lookalike artists alongside him for this artwork. As you can see, it looks amazing. Phil is one of our accomplished members who takes advantage of the digital tech available and puts it to great use.

Helen - A very clever piece of artwork using half a portrait of John Lennon combined with graphics! The lettering with its smudged edges does give that dreamy appearance. It's the perfect typeface match for the song! And Helen's second artwork is for the same artist, a different song, bright, bold, with graffiti. Helen had to cut out her piece and pop it on a black background, which has made her work pop! It's fabulous! Sharpie/acrylic pens were used.

Barbara - Focused on Chris Cornell, from Sound Garden, this is a portrait of him when he was young. He had a lot of mental ill health lasting his life span, including anxiety, depression and agoraphobia. Sadly, he passed away. This was one of the bands Barbara listened to, and her favourite band member. She used watercolour to create this fabulous portrait!
Andy - Created this violin using watercolour and oil pastels during our session. He said he liked the violin and that he listened to Andre Rieu when on TV and YouTube 'cinemas', he found it relaxing, especially during lockdown. The light pink goes really well with the Spruce coloured wood of the violin.

Mandy - This was Mandy's first art group session, joining for the relaxing group time and, although nervous about sharing her work, we were so pleased she did; this is her 'Geetar'! Mandy enjoys music, and I can imagine her rocking out to tunes with this guitar playing! Thank you so much for joining 😊Coloured pencils were used.
Sarah - One of my favourite instruments is the saxophone... this drawing is loosely based on the soprano bell saxophone I have, mine has a lot of beautiful detail on the bell. There are many tracks I listen to that feature saxophonists adding rich undertones to tracks, and I really enjoy their solos, especially.
The background is black tea stain wash with sheet music scores added, and watercolour paint used for the saxophone.
An inspirational week, so many genres of music and different captures, music means something different to each of us, healing, uplifting, fun, etc, it makes such a huge impact on our lives. Next time you are enjoying your favourite track or artist, spare a thought for how it makes you feel and the importance music plays in your life... Please enjoy our gallery.
If you would like to join our next session, you would be more than welcome. Our next art group is on Wednesday at 7:30pm. Follow the link below and click on All4Art
