An incredible deep dive into everyone's challenges this week and an insight into how each person meets them, through their self-belief, very powerful works displayed in the gallery for you to take a look at.

Green and white squared background; Top right - Black & white linework in a pattern with self-belief words in the centre. Bottom left; Head of lady with closed eyes, rosy cheeks and a smile with words 'love yourself' in different colours in her long brown hair with 4 hearts to the left of her face
Your self-belief, Meet the challenge artwork by Helen and Donna

Helen - an amazing mandala fine line artwork style design, beautifully executed. The words of self-belief she has used are meaningful to her: Faith, Success, Ability, Worth, Strength, and Confidence. A black fine liner pen and graphite were used to create this striking art.

Val - This is a beautiful picture and a very thoughtful reminder to us all, that self-love is very important. Felt-tip pens were used in this artwork.

Green and white squared background; Top right - A selection of 9 colourful photos digitally generated, with the theme of Phil's own self-belief. Bottom left - Shield with symbols of tactile paving at a train station, a community and an autism symbol
Your self-belief, Meet the challenge artwork by Phil and Andy

Phil - created this digital collage based on his own self-belief, being a fun, colourful person shown by his clothing also. This design was made on the Toon me app.

Andy - drew a shield with symbols related to the long fight he and others had to go through (and won) to get tactile paving in their local train station a year earlier than planned. As well as what he does every day for families with autism locally. He explained the colouring pencils he was using had light pigments we had a discussion about alternative pencils with darker pigments.

Green and white squared background; Top right - Red heart centre hugged by arms wearing blue sleeves with positive affirmations around. Bottom left; self portrait of Barbara, redish blue hair with a silver goth tiara, red lipstick, pale skin with blue tinges, one hand is holding one eye open, grey/green eye colour, full cheeks, black dress,.
Your self-belief, Meet the challenge artwork by Donna and Barbara

Donna - a fabulous reminder to treat yourself kindly and reinforce positive affirmations to build strength every day when meeting challenges to be able to overcome them. This is certainly the case for Donna, whose confidence has grown since becoming a member of the All4Inclusion community, speaking out, and making change. Felt-tip pens and graphite were used.

Barbara - "This is my self-portrait for this week's theme. I'm quite pleased with it as it's very quirky! And I love quirky!"

I thought this was an awesome self-portrait; it really captured her personality. A fun-loving, expressive character, always looking ahead, able to push through challenges and take charge of situations. Filled with self-belief. Watercolour painting with black fine liner.

Green and white squared background; Top right - Figure of a lady showing blue knee hinges knee joint replacements leaning on a thin red cane L hand and pushing a large boulder above her head R arm. Bottom left - Lady with long hair tied in a bun, dressed as a warrior in a thigh length tartan dress with shield R arm and sword L arm. Tattoos to her face and body. Dagger strapped to waist. Wearing boots, calf height. Protective leather wraps on her arms.
Your self-belief, Meet the challenge artwork by Carolina and Sarah

Carolina - A beautiful, evocative artwork that shows strength and self-belief in this lady's health journey. Something many of us can identify with. This is a very raw piece, stripped back; it shows what's beneath and the amount of strength and determination required to carry her through each obstacle and remain standing strong. Created with graphite and coloured pencils.

Sarah - 'My inner warrior - my self-belief'. With each day comes a different battle and a new way to deal with each situation. I draw upon this with my inner warrior; she's tough, developed strength and survives. Carries a shield and body armour to deflect incoming assaults, and a sword and dagger to attack. She wears a tartan dress and tattoos, as she is part of a clan of survivors. Graphite drawing.

A very meaningful art session, in some cases, a few members were set challenges, thinking of their initial idea and spent a lot of time looking within to meet this challenge and figure out what their self-belief was.

This may be easy for some, but for others it is more difficult, especially if you have negative experiences. I am incredibly humbled by all of the art pieces everyone produced. They are exceptional, and I would like to thank everyone who shared theirs. We all learned a great deal from this.

If you would like to join us for our next art session, you would be more than welcome. There's a different topic every week. Art group is every Wednesday at 7:30 pm, link is via linktree, below, click on All4Art.
