An incredibly thought-provoking and interesting topic, everyone certainly spent some time looking within themselves. Each of our artworks is personal to those who submitted it, powerful, and true. Everyone is on their own journey; no one is to be questioned, and each has their reasons for the choice of their spirit animal or plant. Only you can decide who you identify with after all, and that isn't up to anyone else.

Noor - Beautiful butterfly, very colourful, great patterns made with Sharpie pens.

Andy - Chatting with Andy, he explained that two of his favourite animals are a turtle and a butterfly, this is the result, a very clever morph of them. The colour of the butterfly wings is stunning, especially! He used Soft pastels for this artwork.

Barbara - 'Are you a leg or a breast person?' - Barbara explained that she was inspired to paint this when she had been feeling like a roast chicken due to cancer diagnoses in 2 areas and the treatments she could receive and how she was feeling at that time. She has a great sense of humour and expresses herself through her art. Painted with watercolours.

Donna - Great to see that Donna drew one of her favourites for this art session, a mythical animal, the unicorn. She also saw a unicorn when she went on holiday, so drew that too, drawn using pencil and coloured in with felt-tip pens.

Helen - 'Wolf', this is an incredibly striking animal, even the side gaze looks piercing, what do you think? This artist explained that she enjoyed being taken out of her comfort zone, as she doesn't do animals, they're not her thing, but I think it's fabulous! Created using graphite.

Phil - created this digital artwork in his toon me app. A vibrant piece, with multiple characters of mythical nature. I asked him in our online art session which of the characters he most identifies with, and he said a mix between the cheeky leprechaun and the stag-like spirit animal.

Sarah - 'Water vole' - I've rescued many as a child and have always been drawn to water and nature. Symbolically, they're known for being adaptable, resilient, creative, and resourceful. Created using coloured pencils and watercolour pencils.
Take time to look through the gallery this week, enjoy, as I said, each drawing and animal has a significance to each artist. What is your spirit animal or plant? They can differ throughout life...
If you wish to join us for art, you'd be most welcome to as always.
