A time for everyone. April used to be called Eosturmonath (Eostre Month) in the Old English calendar. Many traditions have stood the test of time.

Something that holds is that life cycles begin again, first flowers bloom, and numerous animals and insects are welcomed into the world at this time, representing new life, hope, and renewal. A magical time ✨

Art Inspiration

🎨Baby animals – Have a go at sketching and painting, or colouring your favourite. You could do this electronically, on paper, or choose pebbles, or even have a go at sculpting with natural materials, or maybe pipe cleaners after a scavenging hunt.

🎨You could try decorating or sculpting a candle/candle holder with a design to fit the theme. Remember, your candle is a decoration; safety first!

🎨 Try your hand at dying eggs; perhaps you could create patterns on their shells. This takes a steady hand. Maybe use traditional designs or one of your own.

🎨 Print making, use potato halves or any equipment you think would be a good fit, and print some shapes to represent eggs. Carve cool patterns if you’re using potato halves.

🎨 Perhaps you wish to have a go at making some origami flowers using white or yellow paper, create a garden with the blooms you have made, or decorate an Easter Bonnet.
