Renewal matters. It gives us a chance to begin again with fresh focus, energy, and intention. Renewal starts with caring for yourself, because if you don’t make time to recharge, it becomes harder to care for others or share your best self. We recharge our phones every day, but how often do we recharge ourselves?

Self-care looks different for everyone, but good sleep, nourishing food, keeping appointments, and enjoying hobbies all help restore balance. Rest resets the body and mind, while walking, meditation, yoga, and gentle exercise reduce stress and lift mood. Journaling, kindness, connection, short naps, and time away from screens all support wellbeing. Step back, unplug, and remember, you are worth the time.

Art Inspiration for this week;

🎨 Meditation focuses on a word, for instance, ‘calm’ or ‘release’. How do these make you feel? Follow your feelings, draw images of what comes to mind, and add colours to express this.

🎨 What is your hobby? Illustrate this as your artwork.

🎨 Draw and colour somewhere that is special to you. Where you take a stroll around, to unwind and relax, perhaps take inspiration from water, leaves, stones, sky and paths or any space you go to in your mind.

🎨 Before and after; Create two sections: one showing heaviness or overwhelm, the other showing calm, clarity, or hope. Perhaps use colour shift rather than detail for this.

🎨 What fills your cup? Draw or paint a cup, bowl, or container. Fill it with colours, patterns, or symbols that represent what restores you.

🎨 What rest looks like for you: Create an image that shows what rest looks like for you. It can be abstract, symbolic, or inspired by nature.

You may wish to use blue, aqua, green, or silver to suggest freshness and calm, or watercolours for a gentle flow. Abstract leaf and flower shapes symbolise growth and renewal. Flowing water, light and shadow, and layered textures or collage can represent cleansing, change, transformation and refresh.

It will be a great evening of creativity! See you all soon 🙂 Wednesday evening, 7:30 pm UK time. Please join us on link-tree select All4Art https://linktr.ee/all4inclusion
