This week, our creatives set off on an artistic safari, exploring the beauty, wonder and diversity of wildlife through their own unique interpretations. From majestic animals, patterns and peaceful landscapes to imaginative scenes inspired by nature, each artwork tells its own story. We invite you to browse the gallery, explore each creation and enjoy the creativity and individuality behind every piece.
Donna – Amazing, Donna, what a magnificent lion! I love his mane, and you've captured so many wonderful details. The vultures flying overhead and perched in the tree are a lovely touch and are very typical of the African grasslands, where they often follow lions. Donna said she watched a drawing tutorial on Pinterest to help create this artwork. Another member commented that Donna's picture looked like a scene from The Lion King – can you imagine the music playing too?

Andy – This is fantastic! I love how you've captured the distinctive patterns and colours of safari wildlife within this striking grid design. Leopard spots, tiger stripes, giraffe markings, zebra stripes and peacock feathers come together to create a clever and eye-catching composition.

Barbara - 'Lion cub, resting on her Mother's back'. This lion cub has beautiful fur, a spotted back and a stripey face. Her large ears and paws make her immediately recognisable as a young cub, ready to grow into her oversized body. Barbara painted the cub resting on her mother's back, with tall, dry yellow savannah grasses stretching into the distance. A lovely composition capturing a peaceful moment in the wild.

Matthew - An awesome drawing of a lion's face, with a large eye, rounded outline and a small tuft of hair representing its mane. Love this! It's a simple and personal interpretation of the theme, and it's always fantastic to see Matthew's creativity.

Phil - Phil interpreted On Safari using Google Gemini AI, creating a fun collage inspired by real photos of himself and his support worker. I love Phil's imagination and the wide variety of scenes he created, from wildlife encounters and safari jeep rides to souvenir shopping, meals and adventures alongside elephants, zebras and other animals. The AI-generated facial expressions, settings and outfit combinations add plenty of humour throughout the collection, making it an entertaining and creative interpretation of the theme. Great fun – well done, Phil!

Sarah - 'Gentle Giant'. My interpretation of On Safari captures a peaceful moment in Africa, where a gentle giant grazes beneath the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Rather than focusing on adventure, I wanted to celebrate the quiet beauty, tranquillity and grandeur of the African landscape, where strength and serenity exist side by side.

Noor – An incredibly cute meerkat for your first painting, Noor! I love its expressive face, and those ears look as though they're listening carefully for any signs of danger. Great work! Noor told us she found a YouTube tutorial to help her draw this wonderful little creature.
For her second artwork, Noor shared a new art book her mum had bought her, complete with stencils. She carefully drew around the stencil before filling the design with paint. The vibrant colours bring the pattern to life. Well done, Noor!

Alison – An amazing collection of English garden birds in a variety of lovely poses, some in flight and others perched on branches, each captured with wonderful attention to detail. Alison chose her reference images from one of her bird books, carefully recreating both the birds and their beautiful colours. Drawing favourite subjects is such a relaxing and enjoyable way to unwind. Fantastic work, Alison!

Nicole – A brilliant little monkey, Nicole! I love the way you've captured the light in its eyes, giving it such a gorgeous, expressive face. These curious little animals can be found in parts of Africa and are often spotted on safari, as well as in many safari parks. It's wonderful to have one joining our All4Art safari too—here's hoping it doesn't misbehave!

Looking through this gallery, it's clear that 'On Safari' became much more than a collection of wildlife artwork. It encouraged our artists to explore new techniques, try different sources of inspiration and experiment with a variety of materials and creative approaches. From books and online tutorials to AI, stencils and personal imagination, every artist found their own way to interpret the theme. Together, these artworks show how a supportive and inclusive creative space can encourage confidence, curiosity and the freedom to express ourselves in our own unique ways.
