A wonderfully colourful array of artworks encompassing the changeable weather associated with this month, beautiful Spring flowers and Easter art. There are some great details in each piece. Take your time browsing the gallery and enjoy.

Donna's April Showers, Rainbows & Flowers

Donna - The first picture is colourful, and I love how you've managed to capture everything in your whole artwork; it looks awesome. My favourites are the chicks and the flowers. Your second picture is brilliant, love the umbrella especially, that will be useful with the showers you have drawn. A huge egg too!

Felt-tip pens have been used.

Phil's Rainbows & Flowers

Phil - A fabulous compilation generated digitally by Phil using the toon.me app. I love the rainbow colour and life in these images, especially the graffiti style images, very cool. Haley, his cat companion, featured as a wall art is a great twist. Fantastic interpretation Phil!

Andy's Rainbow

Andy - A very dramatic sky and great colour to the rainbow. Andy explained that his reference image was a photo taken in South Africa; he found it interesting and decided to draw it. Soft pastels were used.

Noor's April Flowers and a touch of Easter!

Noor - Brilliant artwork, Noor, so vibrant. The richness of the colour in your picture is fantastic! Your tree with pink blossoms stands out well. I love all your flowers with their dancing petals; they're beautiful. Noor told us she'd got some new supplies, watercolour pencils and a pad of plain paper and used those for this picture.

Lower is shades of green with dark green ridges to the leaf. On the green surface, there are spheres with light grey/green interiors a dash of yellow on the top curve. Central sphere has a rainbow painted across it, red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo & violet. The sphere has grey white distortion at its base, inside the sphere is painted muted transparent green shades, fading to white. Below rainbow is a muted shad of grey with white at the edge of the rainbow.

Sarah - 'April Prism Rainbow Droplet'

An April shower, the sun shines, shower clouds have built; rain has erupted from the burst clouds. Steam is produced from the warmth. A rainbow has formed. Water droplets remain on leaves; one droplet captures and reflects the beauty of the colours in the sky. Watercolour painting.

Matthew's Rainbow

Matthew - An awesome rainbow, the difference in depths of shading is great. Fantastic artwork, Matthew. Pen and black biro were used.

Nicole's touch of Easter!

Nicole - 'A cute rabbit for Easter'. Love this really sweet rabbit face with their large mesmerising eyes and gorgeous eyelashes. Drawn in graphite and acrylic paint was used.

Barbara's touch of Easter!

Barbara - Cute spring lamb, lying in the sunshine. I can imagine this lamb in the fields with their lamb friends, very befitting for Easter time. So adorable, Barbara. The eyelashes and the little hooves are exquisite. Watercolour painting.


A great topic with amazing artworks using a variety of media, always fantastic to see the different interpretations and the use of a variety of media.
