In my recent blog about zoo's, I featured the zoo in the Austrian Capital of Vienna.

As well as the zoo there are a lot more accessible attractions on offer in the city you can visit. A good way to explore the city and save money is to purchase a Vienna Pass. This includes entry to a number of attractions and the use of the city bus tours which make travelling around the city quick and easy. The buses are all fully wheelchair accessible

One of the city's most famous attractions is the Ferris Wheel at Pratar Park. This is fully disabled accessible and offers beautiful panoramic views of the city.

Another scenic viewpoint is the Danube Tower. This is Austria's tallest building and the viewing platform is also fully disabled accessible, though you must be accompanied to visit this sight in case of emergancy evacuation.

Both these attractions are situated along the banks of the River Danube. There is a selection of cruises on offer through the city and round the Danube Island which you can enjoy. You can also enjoy the Twin City Liner which connects Vienna with Slovakia's Capital Britaslava in about 90 minutes. The boats are also fully accessible

The city is home to many famous buildings. One of the most beautiful is the City Hall. Although I visited in May 2018, a Christmas visit is a must as this is home to one of the city's most beautiful Christmas markets

Another Beautiful building worth visiting is Schonebrunn Palace which is also home to many gardens and attractions. The Apple Strudel Show is a must see

Although not accessible to those with mobility issues, I also visited the Wine Celler at Schlumbergers which is an interesting and worthwhile visit. You can also from there take the 38 tram to the old wine village of Grinzing on the outskirts of the city.

All in all the city is well worth a visit and as we found out 3 days isn't enough to take in all the sights fully so will be going back to finish off at a later date!
