Edinburgh is Scotland's capital city and is located in the east of the Central Belt. The city is situated on the east coast mainline and is served by over 50 trains a day between there and London. There are also regular train links to other cities in the UK and in Scotland. Glasgow is only a 48 minute journey and has serves as often as every 15 minutes during busy periods. The city also benefit's from regular coach links across the country, including a coach to Glasgow every 15 minutes with returns from £10. Edinburgh Airport is 6 miles from the city centre and has regular links to the city by tram or the 100 bus route.
Edinburgh has a range of accessible attractions to visit. These include the Royal Yacht Britannia situated at the Ocean Terminal, which is a short tram or bus ride from the city centre. Other key attractions include Edinburgh Castle, Dynamic Earth, Royal Botanic Gardens and the Palace of Hollyrood House. Below are some useful resources and information to discover more about the city

It is easy to travel around the city. There are regular bus and tram links to many parts of Edinburgh and into the neighboring parts of the wider Lothian area. One of the most regular bus connections in the city is the 26 bus route which goes all the way from the zoo in the west of the city (there is a good Holiday Inn next door which I stay at often) out to Seaton Sands Caravan park on the East Lothian Coastline. Many people forget about Edinburgh having a coastline which has many nice beaches and walks accessible, particuarly in the Portobello area of the city.

Along the coast there is a wide variety of towns and attractions found in East Lothian. Further details can be found on this link Access for All | Visit East Lothian. Below are some photos of this part of Scotland that a friend sent me
