When travelling overseas there can be a range of issues to consider related to your health and it can be overwhelming doing a lot of research. To help with this NHS Scotland has produced a resource "Fit For Travel"
The resource can be accessed on the following website: www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk and provides comprehensive travel helath advice
There is comprehensive information covering the following subjects within this
An A-Z of countries, grouped by region and the various health related information such as vaccine requirements
General Travel Wellbeing, such as altitude sickness, DVT, Animal Bites, travelling when pregnant

There is also hyperlinks to medical condition specific guidance such as traveling with diabetics and cancer.
You should also ensure you have appropriate travel insurance in place and consider applying for a GHIC card
As always before you plan a trip we would recommend you consult with your own medical team on if you are well enough to travel and any precautions you should take related to your own situation.
