In my blog about my trip to Lake Garda, I mentioned about the day trip I took to the city of Bolzano which is the gateway to the Dolomites in Italy.

The region is packed with lots of different things to do and it is served by a small regional airport in Bolzano (BZO). This airport has served by 3 flights a week from Gatwick by SkyAlps, however no other direct flights to the UK are avalable from here. There are many other airports easily accessible from the UK to this region including:
Innsbruck Airport- approx. 2 hours drive
Verona Airport- approx. 3 hours drive
Munich Airport and Venice Airports- both are approx 4 hours drive

There are many accessible walking trails and things to do in the region. You can check out the following websites to learn more.
The region is home to lots of beautiful scenery which I have hyperlinked to virtual tours for you to enjoy.
