In the first of our follow ups post travel club, here is a write up of our April session and useful resources we shared on our visit to Canada

We looked at two of the country's famous train journeys. The Ocean and the Canadian.
Accessibility on board our trains | VIA Rail. The country has a dense rail network stretching from coast to coast and these trains offer many of the scenic sights along the way.

The Ocean
The Ocean runs along Canada's Atlantic Coast from the city of Montreal, through Quebec to Nova Scotia. There is lots to see and do there and some useful accessibility links were shared. These are shown below
Montreal
Quebec
Atlantic Canada

The Canadian
We spotlighted the cities of Toronto and Vancouver at the start of the journey

Vancouver

The train also has intermediate stops at Winnipeg and Edminton. Some useful links for these city's are.
A number of you asked questions on the night about Canada
Flights
There are many different flights to Canada from various UK airports. The Toronto area is best served from regional UK airports but most major cities have connections from London or via a stopover in Toronto.
Another option is to stop over in Iceland. This offers many exciting tour opportunities and we will do a dedicated Travel Club about this later this year

Wildlife
Canada is home to a lot of must visit wildlife sites. There are many national parks within the country which more information is available on
The west of Canada is particularly of benefit to this space with many attractions on land and water. Some examples are below

As always if anyone has any questions or ideas please do get in touch by commenting below. We meet on the last Thursday of every month at 7.30pm. Our next session is on 28 May and we will be going to Switzerland.
