Expression of Yourself

This week is our mental health art week. Self-expression is the act of sharing your inner world with with outside world, allowing your thoughts, feelings, and values to shine through, showcasing your authentic self without conforming to societal expectations or norms.


To nurture our self-expression and build positive connections, we need an environment that validates our true authentic selves.

Art inspiration

  • Construct an artwork based on your likes and dislikes.

  • Paint something based on your personal beliefs, political or world views, and concerns.

  • Maybe you can express yourself, through creativity, how it feels to walk a day in your life.

  • Try digital painting to showcase who you are as an individual.

  • Choose a style to explore and express your emotions, you could make an off-the-cuff statement piece based on ‘how you feel today’.
