At our November travel club session we enjoyed a virtual tour of some of Europe's Christmas Markets, however these cities are still worth visiting all year round.

Hamburg

Hamburg offers a range of attractions to visit including the World's largest model railway Miniatur Wunderland. This contained at the time of my visit in 2015 a number of scenes such as Switzerland, Hamburg, A fictional airport and the USA. It has grown further since my visit with a new Italy, France and South American areas live and work is still ongoing on an Asian area.

Other must see sights include the Town Hall and the St Michaels Church panoramic view.

There are also many beautiful bus tours and boat trips available.

You can find out more about the city and accessibility online on: Experience Hamburg without limits

Lubeck

Lubeck is a short day trip from Hamburg (approx 48 mins on the train). It is a Hanseatic city and its old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can learn more by visiting: Lübeck barrier-free

Prague

Prague is the Czech Republic's Capital City and is one of Europe's most beautiful. It is home to many attractions such as the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge , Prague Castle and Wenceslas Square. The City is also a UNESCO world heritage site. There is also a miniature Eiffel Tower on Pertrev Hill with panoramic views over the city.

An excellent session.

Made me think what Christmas Market we could venture to one weekend next year?
