During my recent trip to Liverpool, I was fortunate to spot the Ambassador Ambition Cruise Ship in port while enjoying a sail on the River Mersey. Ambassador is a British "No Fly" cruise line sailing from a range of regional ports. There are also some options that do involve flying to the Caribbean.

Although I have never been (as yet) on a cruise. I gathered some information about the ship and accessibility features. At our initial travel club meeting cruising was discussed as a theme people would like to find out more about so hope this blog is helpful.
The Ambasador Ambition was built in 1999 and can accommodate 1200 passengers in a total of 680 cabins. Several of these cabins are adapted for disabled guests.
There are many facilities onboard to make your trip enjoyable. These include several restaurants, bars, west end theatre, swimming pool and gymnasium. You can access a virtual tour of the ship on their website.
There are a range of cruises on offer on this boat of various durations. These include short mini cruises to Ireland and Amsterdam to longer sailings lasting between 1 and 3 weeks to the Canary Islands, Mediterranean, Iceland and Scandinavia. You can browse the full range of cruises available online
