Accessible Jersey

Jersey is the largest island in the Channel Islands (a group of islands located between England and France). The island is very easy to get to with regular flights from all over the UK and ferry links to various ports in the south of England.

The island is very accessible. The local tourist information produced a helpful guide to accommodation. I personally have stayed in the Merton Hotel which was an enjoyable few nights break.

There is lots to see and do on the island. There are several castles including Elizabeth Castle in the main town of St Helier and also Mount Orgal Castle in Gory about 45 minutes on the local bus. More information on these and accessibility can be found on Jersey Heritage website. Other major attractions include Jersey Zoo and the Jersey Pearl.

There are also many beautiful beaches around the island. A personal favourite is at St Brelade which is pictured below
