About the event

Accessible Property

How many buildings are accessible to disabled people?

I'm not just talking about wheelchair users, but ALL disabled people including those with non apparent disabilities.

Although there are lots of buildings that are decades or centuries old that are not accessible, there are also properties being built and designed today that are no accessible too.

Ruth Hunter is a property developer with a degree in interior design. She has a passion for promoting the need for more accessible and universally designed properties for those with mobility issues.

Katy Deacon is an award winning Chartered Electrical Engineer and Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) specialising in inclusive engineering. A speaker with 'infectious enthusiasm' who speaks honestly about her own disability, sharing insightful knowledge to aid the development of a more inclusive world for everyone.
